Visiting Kutna Hora

The historic centre of Kutna Hora, together with the outlying Sedlac Ossuary, is designated an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town grew rich in the Middle Ages on the silver which was mined from the hill on which it stands. Being only an hour’s train ride from Prague Kutna Hora is popular as a day-trip, but there is so much history in the town that it rewards an overnight stay.
