Cesky Krumlov is probably the most perfect historic town in the Czech Republic and indeed in Europe. The UNESCO-listed town has the second-largest castle in the Czech Republic and over 300 listed buildings, lots of museums and galleries, as well as dozens of restaurants and bars. Naturally the town attracts a lot of visitors - many on daytrips from Prague, but we recommend at least one overnight stay. The town is close to the Bohemian Forest (Sumava National Park) and Lake Lipno.
